Mermaid Monofin Introduction

This mermaid monofin is a collaborative design with MFI Mermaid, specially crafted for mermaid performances and training. Modeled after the shape of a fish tail, it fits seamlessly inside a mermaid tail skin. It eliminates the need for bulky rubber monofins or acrylic support plates that lack propulsion.

Made with lightweight carbon fiber, the full set, including foot pockets, weighs approximately 1.2 kg (weight may vary slightly depending on the size and stiffness of the foot pockets).

The fin blade measures 68 cm wide and 60 cm long. Unlike freediving monofins that only require vertical, unidirectional flex and recoil for efficient forward propulsion, a mermaid monofin also needs lateral flexibility and vertical twisting motion. This allows for smoother, more natural tail movements during underwater turns and twists, making the mermaid tail look more fluid and lifelike.

Its ultra-lightweight design makes both training and performances more graceful and effortless
